Students

cohealth regards tertiary student placements as a means of promoting community health practice and the social model of health in the context of a health promotion and prevention framework. Student placements are an explicit means by which our various service areas develop a culture of teaching and learning. All students that undertake their placements with cohealth are required to have a current police check and where required, a Working with Children’s Check (WWC).

Allied health placements through Universities (Physio, OT, Social Work, Dietetics, Speech, AHA, Psychology, Nursing, Medical, Dental, Health Promotion & Counselling) are arranged directly through education providers and applications won’t be accepted online. Please speak with your placement coordinator. Moving forward, cohealth will be participating through VicPlace to plan, schedule and administer allied health student placements.

Certificate and Diploma students are encouraged to apply by completing the Student Placement Application form below and submit online. We accept applications from various disciplines such as community services, community development, mental health, alcohol and other drugs and sport & recreation. If we have capacity to support your placement, a student supervisor will be in touch with you within 3 weeks to arrange a pre-placement interview.

At this time, we are unable to support Year 10 Work experience placements and only post-secondary students will be considered for placement at cohealth.

If you would like to discuss student placements further, please contact our Students Business Partner via email. To apply for a student placement please complete and submit the online form below.

Please note that we only accept those at Masters level.
