Good nutrition for your wellbeing

cohealth dietitians provide advice and support about healthy food, to help clients manage medical conditions or for better health and wellbeing in general.

cohealth dietitians do not recommend restrictive diets, but support clients towards mindful eating to help you reach your goals. This is always tailored to your individual health needs, taste preferences, budget and social circumstances.

We provide education and information on issues including:

  • Being overweight or underweight
  • Malnutrition
  • Paediatric nutrition
  • Food allergies
  • Diabetes
  • High cholesterol
  • Healthy eating
  • Gastrointestinal conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Heart disease
  • Improving food preparation to help chewing and swallowing
  • Food insecurity

We have dietitians with specialised experience in working with children, people experiencing homelessness and people with disordered eating.

Group education programs include:

  • Living well with Diabetes
  • Diabetes support groups
  • Supermarket tours
  • Cooking programs

What do I need to do?
Everyone in the community is welcome to make an appointment with cohealth dietitians.

Access by referral from health professional or contact us directly.

Homeless clients can drop in to clinics at Fitzroy and Central City.

Are you over 65 years? Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander over 50 years?

You can access cohealth dietitian services and any of our other services through My Aged Care – a one stop shop for aged care services and information in Australia.

Go directly to the My Aged Care website or call 1800 200 422 and ask for cohealth physio.

Are you under 65 years? Under 50 years and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander?

To get information or make an appointment for the dietitian service at your preferred location call 9448 5521 or complete our online form.

Over 65 years? Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander over 50 years?

You can access cohealth dietitian services and any of our other services through My Aged Care – a one stop shop for aged care services and information in Australia.

Go directly to the My Aged Care website or call 1800 200 422 and ask for cohealth dietitian services.

Health professional wanting to refer?

For clients over 65 years, or 50 years for Aboriginal and /or Torres Strait Islander, refer via My Aged Care or by calling 1800 200 422 – you can indicate cohealth as the preferred provider when you refer.

For clients under 65 years, or 50 years for Aboriginal and /or Torres Strait Islander, refer securely online, call 9448 5521 or fax a referral to cohealth via 03 7000 1827. Referrals received online or by phone are the quickest to process.
