Living Well With Pain

Learn how to manage pain and improve your quality of life in a group based pain management program.

Get the support you need to manage your pain.

Living Well With Pain is a low intensity group based pain management program. In 8 sessions over four weeks, get practical skills and training in a variety of active self-management strategies for pain, including:

  • goal setting
  • activity pacing
  • flare up planning
  • stress management
  • movement and exercise
  • relaxation
  • sleep hygiene

Am I eligible?

The program is suitable for people who:

  • have pain lasting more than 3 months (that is not related to cancer)
  • are interested in participating in a group program
  • are motivated and have in interest in a self-management approach to pain
  • have goals or are open to discussing goals around improving day to day function

You will also need to be able to attend the program at the cohealth centre Footscray on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons between 1pm – 4pm for 4 weeks.

How can I get involved?

For people over the age of 65, a referral via My Aged Care is required.

People under the 65 can self refer. Please use the booking form to select ‘Physiotherapy’ and request ‘Living Well With Pain’.
