New Mental Health and Wellbeing Local Opens in Wyndham

Leading non-profit community health organisation cohealth, in partnership with Mercy Health, has opened the doors to a new mental health and wellbeing service to support the residents of Melbourne’s outer southwest in the City of Wyndham. 

Welcoming community members aged 26 and over, the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local in Wyndham provides free support from peer workers, social workers, psychologists and other health professionals at 1-13 Watton Street in Werribee.  

Funded by the Victorian Government, this new Mental Health and Wellbeing Local is delivered in partnership by cohealth and Mercy Health, providing free treatment, care and support to ensure there is a seamless community, hospital and outreach-based support system in the City of Wyndham. 

Like the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local in Brimbank delivered by cohealth in Melbourne’s west, the new Mental Health and Wellbeing Local in Wyndham offers a no-barriers model of care with no referrals or Medicare card needed. This approach enables community members to access mental health and wellbeing support when they need it, without delay. 

The new Mental Health and Wellbeing Local in Wyndham can be reached on 03 9448 5522. Its opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
