In February 2025, we commenced a partnership with Victoria University, aiming to bring our expertise in community health together with VU’s excellence in education and research.

We know Victoria University shares our deep commitment to equity and inclusion – and together, we have a shared vision to contribute to healthier, more equitable communities in Melbourne’s west, and beyond.
We will partner on a range of impactful collaboration opportunities, including shared learning experiences, research and advocacy, and the development of meaningful career pathways in community health.
At cohealth, our partnerships are central to our ongoing impact – partnership with our communities, to understand what they need, and strong partnerships with like-minded organisations who believe in our mission, like Victoria University.
cohealth partners with many other organisations to address health inequities in our communities and increase our collective impact. These partnerships span across all levels of government, health and social service organisations, hospitals, community organisations, universities, schools, sports clubs, and more.
Opportunities under our Victoria University partnership pillars include:
Student Engagement — Including placements, internships, or volunteering opportunities across many fields, including Psychology, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Midwifery, Youth Work, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Dietetics, Business, Law, IT, Disability and Community Services.
Workforce Development — Create graduate and employment pathways for VU students, as well as professional development and teaching opportunities for cohealth staff.
Research and Academic Work — To be undertaken by cohealth staff in collaboration with VU researchers, focusing on areas including public health, policy, and healthcare sustainability.
Collaborate on Policy and Advocacy Initiatives — With a specific focus on Melbourne’s West.
