On 12 January, Premier Daniel Andrews and Bushfire Recovery Victoria (BRV) Chair Ken Lay announced a $14.4 million Victorian Bushfires Case Support Program that will immediately be available for individuals and families (local and living in other parts of Victoria) affected by bushfires in Gippsland and North East Victoria.
The service links individuals with a support coordinator to provide information and advice, referrals to local support, as well as mental health and financial counselling.
cohealth is pleased to be engaged as a service provider, alongside Windermere and Gippsland Lakes Community Health in Gippsland and Gateway Health in Northern Victoria.
Individuals can immediately access the Support Program by:
- contacting their local council
- visiting a recovery centre
- calling 1800 560 760.
