Dr Avhan Bhagwat

Avhan is an experienced doctor with special interests in refugee health, diabetes and Indigenous health. He graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2007 and completed his GP training in country South Australia and Alice Springs. He has worked in general practice for the last 9 years.

Avhan is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a member of the Australian Medical Association.

He enjoys providing continuity of care to clients and helping and encouraging them to make decisions about their own health.

Avhan has basic conversational abilities in Marathi, Spanish and French.

Outside of work he enjoys cooking, reading and adjusting to life without sleep-ins because of his young children.

Availability:

Avhan is available for consultations on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays at the Kensington clinic.
