Kate is an experienced GP with a special interest in mental health and wellbeing, sexual and reproductive health, drug and alcohol management, and travel medicine.
Kate qualified from the University of Melbourne in 2005 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
She has spent time working in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, on the Great Ocean Road, and on a tuberculosis research project in remote Papua New Guinea. She does outreach in a minibus to people in Melbourne experiencing homelessness.
Kate is accredited to provide medication-assisted treatment for opioid dependency, high dose vitamin D, iron infusions, and Buprenorphine depot injections.
Kate has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and PhD from the University of Western Australia, a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Kate is currently on leave.
