Ohnmar is an experienced GP with an interest in sexual and reproductive health, refugee health, Indigenous health, and drug and alcohol management.
Ohnmar qualified from Monash University in 2000. She is accredited to provide medication-assisted treatment for opioid dependency, high dose vitamin D, long-acting injectable Buprenorphine, hepatitis B s100, and Implanon insertions and removals.
Ohnmar has previously worked in remote Indigenous communities and on the Thai–Burma border. She currently works in private practice and for the Aboriginal Health Service in Fitzroy.
She considers it a privilege to be involved in caring for people and families through the different stages of their lives, especially in culturally diverse communities such as ours.
Outside of work Ohnmar enjoys camping and hiking, shopping at farmers markets, music, literature and poetry.
