Service details
The Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) aims to empower families to support their child’s learning at an age-appropriate level. An in-home tutor is engaged to support your family at your home. The program begins when the child is in three-year-old kinder (or child-care) and continues through the child’s first year at school to support a smooth school transition.
The tutor will meet parents/carers regularly to provide the following:
- Support for parents/carers to be their children’s first teachers
- Tools to support play and age-appropriate educational activities
- Information regarding training opportunities for parents/carers
