Counselling (Relationships and Families)
Support for families wanting to resolve conflict and improve communication.
Our counsellors are trained specifically to work with families. They can provide family therapy or couples counselling. The focus is on strengthening your family relationships and supporting heathy communication.
Important note: This type of counselling is not for family violence issues. A separate service for this is available called Family violence counselling.
Service details
Counsellors can help you and your family with:
- relationships and healthy communication
- resolving family problems
- parent or sibling conflict
- separation or divorce
- a change that impacts the whole family
- exploring the impact of trauma
- coping with grief and loss
- adapting to a new family member
- repairing family relationships
The first session is an initial assessment, this is followed by up to 5-10 counselling sessions.
About our counsellors
Our counsellors are specifically trained to work with families.
They are qualified counsellors, family therapists or social workers.
