Commonwealth Psychosocial Support (CPS) is a Commonwealth-funded program that assists people with psychosocial support needs to meet their own personal goals and make a recovery plan.

Service details

We believe that recovery is an individual process and that with the right kind of support, each person can move towards living a meaningful, hopeful and contributing life that matches their values and goals for the future. The support you receive is based on what is important to you.

Support to suit your needs

CPS can assist you with:

  • Support to increase confidence and to help connect you with the community and other supports
  • Setting and meeting mental health, physical health, educational, vocational, social, daily living and other personal goals for your recovery
  • Helping you make appropriate referrals to the wider CPS program, as well as other allied health and cohealth programs more generally. The wider CPS program can help you to build the confidence and skills to make progress towards your goals and the life you want.

We can also help with the NDIS by:

  • Liaising with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) for you
  • Completion of Evidence of Disability Forms as part of your application to the NDIS
  • Evidence gathering and referrals to Occupational Therapists and/or Clinical Psychologists to obtain required evidence for NDIS access request
  • Finding support options if your application is not successful; including reapplying, appealing and escalating a decision to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT)
  • Pre-planning support once NDIS access has been met.
