Student placements

cohealth's student placements provide a supportive learning environment for students to learn more about community health practice.

cohealth is a not-for-profit community health organisation. cohealth regards tertiary student placements as a means of promoting community health practice and the social model of health in the context of a health promotion and prevention framework. Student placements are one of the ways our service areas develop a culture of teaching and learning.

Who can do a student placement at cohealth

All students that undertake their placements with cohealth are required to have a current police check, vaccination record, and a Working with Children Check (WWC).

How to apply

There are two different ways to apply; through your university or through cohealth’s online form.

The best way to arrange a student placement at cohealth is to talk to the student coordinator at your University or TAFE. They will then get in touch directly with our clinical providers to negotiate placement arrangements

For courses where this is not possible, for example, Certificate and Diploma students, you are encouraged to apply by completing the Student Placement Application form below and submit online.

If we have capacity to support your placement, we will be in touch with you within three weeks to arrange a pre-placement interview.

You can find out more about student placements by emailing us:

* Please note, we are at capacity and unable to take student placements in mental health for 2022.
