We work with our clients to understand their needs and develop goals to support their living situation and regain and maintain independence. Occupational Therapy assistance may include access to equipment, changes to your home and access to services.
Helping you to live independently
To live independently, an Occupational Therapist can help improve your abilities to do daily activities in various ways. Daily activities can include things like:
- cooking a meal
- moving around your home
- taking a shower at home
- getting out and about in your community/local area
- using public transport to get to the shops
- budgeting for expenses
- undertaking meaningful leisure activities
- planning your week to maintain or improve your energy levels
- pressure care to reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers
