Service details

We provide young people (aged 16-25) with short to medium term flexible outreach wellbeing support to help them better manage their mental health, develop practical life skills for independent living and self-care, engage in community life, access other health and social support services they need, and make the journey towards recovery and the life they want.

We provide outreach support in the following local government areas:

Northern Metro – Darebin, Whittlesea
North West Metro – Melton, Brimbank, Hume
Inner West Metro – Moreland, Moonee Valley, Melbourne
South West Metro – Hobsons Bay, Wyndham, Maribyrnong

How is this service different from the Youth Residential Recovery service?

Youth Outreach Recovery Support (YORS) will complement the existing Youth Residential Recovery (YRR) service by providing an outreach support option to eligible young people.

This support will be offered before or after a YRR bed-based placement. This includes providing young people eligible for YORS with some access to the YRR group programs and activities. Referrals to YORS will not be required to be reviewed by a selection panel, like they are for YRR.
