cohealth is proud to offer our communities quality medical services with highly skilled and experienced male and female doctors.

cohealth doctors provide holistic health care for all the family and also have areas of special interest including refugee health, travel medicine, children’s health and managing chronic conditions – with a focus on care planning and case conferencing. Our clinics also provide services for alcohol and drug and mental health support.  Our GPs work closely with our nurses in the medical practices, pharmacists (at Collingwood), many allied health services and interpreters to ensure comprehensive care.

Our clinics are located in six community health centres across Melbourne and our doctors work in fully equipped practices to provide advice and medical services to individuals, families and workplaces as well as community and private organisations.

Our doctors provide a wide range of General Practice services and have special interests including refugee health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, family medicine, preventative medicine, women’s health, Veteran’s affairs, TAC and WorkCover.

Appointments

Please call your local cohealth Medical Clinic for an appointment. Every effort is made to accommodate your preferred time.

Emergencies will always be given priority.

Our client service officers will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen cancellation of a session, or your doctor has been called away.

Longer consultation times are available, so please ask our client service officers if you require some extra time.

If you or a family member requires an interpreter, we can organise this for you, please let us know when you make an appointment.

You can assist us by ensuring that your contact details are up-to-date.

Emergency appointments

cohealth medical practices operate on an appointment based system.

In the case of an emergency the Clinic Nurse at your chosen practice will see you and if necessary arrange for you to be seen by a Doctor.

Home visits

Home visits may be available for regular patients whose condition prevents them from attending their cohealth practice.

What will it cost me?

Medical services at cohealth are bulk billed for:

  • Centrelink concession card holders
  • Dept Veteran’s Affairs card holders
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • Refugees and Asylum Seekers

Please ensure that you bring your current Medicare details; your cards (as above) and advise us of any changes.

All other clients will be charged a co-payment of $25 per visit. We can claim Medicare rebate for you after you pay the full cost of the visit.

Clients who do not hold a Medicare card will be required to pay the full amount on the day, no rebate applies.
