Hydrotherapy is a low-impact exercise program that improves movement, strength balance and flexibility, while also aiming to reduce pain.
The groups are mixed-gender and employ a range of water activities that are tailored to individual client needs.
Hydrotherapy takes place on:
Clients will be screened by a physiotherapist. People with conditions like incontinence may be excluded. You do not need to swim as there will be mostly standing exercises. Hoists may be available. Clients will have to dress themselves or have a carer to dress them.
