Dr Paul Thu

Dr Paul Thu chose to work in community health because he believes in caring for everyone. He is interested in refugee health, mental health, diabetes and other chronic disease management. This broad focus allows him to see a wide range of clients who need support, which is one of the things he likes about community health. Being able to learn about his clients’ life experiences is something Paul really enjoys about his role, as well as meeting and working with colleagues from many different areas of healthcare.

Paul has worked in different states of Australia including regional and metropolitan and he is qualified in skin cancer, and health economics. He is also a fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Paul can prescribe medication for opioid dependency and chronic hepatitis B infection, and support clients to manage skin cancer.

When he’s not working, Paul likes going away to the country and hiking.
