Our counselling service accepts referrals for clients strictly within the Cities of Maribyrnong, Melbourne, Moonee Valley & Yarra (please note that this service does not accept referrals outside of these LGAs). 

Service details

This type of general counselling is for adults and can help with issues including:

  • Anxiety, depression, stress
  • Trauma
  • Relationship problems and family difficulties
  • Grief and loss (bereavement)
  • Pain or physical illness causing emotional distress
  • Elder abuse
  • Coping with ageing and changes in life
  • Self-worth
  • Work related stress
  • Feeling stuck or worried about the future

Counsellors work together with you to:

  • understand what’s important to you
  • get to the root of the issue
  • be guided by your own expertise in your life
  • provide strategies for moving on if you need it
  • support your understanding, awareness and knowledge about your issue
  • support your health goal in collaboration with your allied health professionals

Counselling Options

There are two options for you to choose from:

  1. Brief Counselling
    • 1-4 sessions to problem solve an immediate issue or specific topic
  1. Standard Counselling
    • Your first session is an initial assessment.  This is followed by between 5-10 sessions.

Fees & eligibility

Individual counselling is for anyone who is experiencing challenges in life such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief and loss.

You can make an appointment by calling us on 9448 5521 between 8:30am and 5:30pm Monday – Friday. You can also use our online form to request an appointment.

The cost depends on your income. There are different income ranges for individuals, couples and families. You can learn more on our fees page, or call us to find out more
