Achut is from Melbourne’s Sudanese/South Sudanese community.
She has a Bachelor of Psychology and a Diploma of Early Childhood Education.
Achut has experience working in many areas, including early childhood, education, family services, mental health, settlement, community development/engagement, project management and the arts.
Achut is involved in numerous community groups. She has established relationships with a South Sudanese mental health group, South Sudanese artists, Dinka church, South Sudanese young mothers and Melbourne Young Christian Workers.
Achut enjoys the many varied opportunities of her role, including meeting and working with other CALD bicultural workers.
In her spare time, Achut loves exploring cafes in Melbourne, as well as cooking, writing and sewing.
