Firdos Saleh

Firdos belongs to Melbourne’s Eritrean community. Born and raised in Saudi Arabia, she moved to the UK in her teens to pursue studies in health management.

Firdos is a passionate community worker with qualifications and experience in business management, project management, teaching, health, disability and parenting. Her daily wish is to be the reason for someone else’s smile and her primary aim is to empower those around her.

As a bicultural worker, Firdos helps many communities and individuals, including refugees and asylum seekers. She works with a variety of organisations and service providers, encouraging a positive process of integration and positive outcomes.

Firdos is well connected and actively involved in many activities in her local community, including the sisters’ social support group, community youth group, African women’s group, Arabic speaking women’s group, Eritrean Australian business group, wise parenting group, empowering women group, and various schools and sporting groups.

Firdos has four wonderful children. She enjoys cooking, making desserts and reading books.
